weather forecast for week 6 - 10/17/26

NFL WEEK 6 WEATHER WATCH — SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18

The biggest weather concern this week is wind in Steelers–Buccaneers. Texans–Jaguars in London is also worth monitoring for rain. Most of the remaining slate currently looks manageable.

STEELERS AT BUCCANEERS — 1:00 PM ET
Temperatures around 75–77°F, with northeast winds of 17–18 mph and potential gusts of 28–31 mph. Little rain is currently expected. This is the top game to monitor for weather-related effects on deep passing and long field goals. Check actual wind conditions before making lineup changes—this is not an automatic reason to bench your starters.

TEXANS AT JAGUARS — LONDON — 9:30 AM ET
Temperatures in the low-to-mid 50s with winds around 9–13 mph. Rain forecasts vary, with one outlook showing rain chances increasing toward 59% during the game. Steady rain would be more concerning than occasional drizzle, so check the updated forecast before the early kickoff.

CHARGERS AT CHIEFS — 4:25 PM ET
Around 66°F with south winds near 12 mph and no rain currently forecast. Worth a final wind check, but current conditions do not suggest a major weather-related downgrade.dknetwork.

COWBOYS AT PACKERS — 8:20 PM ET
Temperatures in the upper 50s with dry conditions. Wind estimates range from approximately 9–15 mph. Cold should not be a major concern, but monitor wind updates when evaluating kickers.

OTHER GAMES TO NOTE

  • Ravens–Browns, Saints–Giants and Panthers–Eagles: Dry conditions and generally light winds currently expected.

  • Jets–Patriots: Around 50°F with modest winds.

  • Cardinals–Rams: Warm and dry, with no significant weather concern indicated.

  • Bears–Falcons and Titans–Colts: Retractable-roof venues; outdoor weather matters only if the roofs are open.

  • SUNDAY MORNING CHECKLIST
Prioritize Tampa’s wind gusts and London’s rain timing. Recheck conditions approximately 90 minutes before kickoff, especially before locking in kickers and players dependent on deep passing. Forecasts can change, and London’s rain outlook remains inconsistent across sources.
