MORNING FANTASY REPORT — THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2026

LEAGUE FOCUS

12-team Sleeper league, single-QB, standard/non-PPR.
PPR differences noted where relevant.

MORNING THEME

Prioritize availability before upside. Zach Charbonnet is out tonight, while Woody Marks remains the leading immediate running-back availability check if David Montgomery misses Sunday. Secure replacement workloads rather than chasing last week’s touchdowns.

GAME WINDOWS AND BYES

  • Thursday: Seattle Seahawks at Denver Broncos, 8:15 PM ET.

  • Sunday London game: Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, 9:30 AM ET. Resolve Houston and Jacksonville lineup decisions before the early kickoff.

  • Week 6 byes: Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings.

TOP WAIVER PRIORITIES / MARKET MOVERS

1. Woody Marks — RB, Texans

Update: David Montgomery is considered week-to-week with a groin injury. Marks would lead Houston’s backfield if Montgomery is unavailable.

Fantasy move: Check Marks’ availability first if you need running-back help. Treat him as a conditional flex with RB2 upside—not an unconditional starter before Montgomery’s status is confirmed.

2. Brenton Strange — TE, Jaguars

Update: Strange has totaled 14 catches on 16 targets for 163 yards over his last two games, with a team-high 26.2% target share during that span.

Fantasy move: A useful tight-end streaming option. His reception volume increases his PPR appeal; standard-scoring value still depends more heavily on yardage and touchdowns.

3. Germie Bernard — WR, Steelers

Update: Bernard recorded six catches for 80 yards on nine targets in Week 5. Michael Pittman Jr. is on injured reserve, and Roman Wilson is out for Week 6.

Fantasy move: Add as receiving depth or a conditional flex. He is a stronger priority in PPR than standard scoring. Do not treat one strong target week as proof of a permanent weekly floor.

4. Dameon Pierce — RB, Eagles

Update: Saquon Barkley remains hopeful to return from his hamstring injury. Will Shipley is expected to miss multiple weeks, while Pierce managed 14 yards on 11 carries in Week 5.

Fantasy move: An emergency, injury-dependent replacement if Barkley cannot play. His poor rushing efficiency limits confidence; do not value him like a confirmed, productive full-workload starter.

5. Zach Charbonnet — RB, Seahawks

Update: Charbonnet is officially out for Thursday’s game with a knee injury.

Fantasy move: Remove him from starting lineups. Hold only as a longer-term stash if bench space allows. His OUT designation supersedes earlier speculative Week 6 starting discussions.

FRANCHISE-BY-FRANCHISE PLAYER AND INJURY WATCHLIST

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS / DENVER BRONCOS

Update: Charbonnet is out. Denver also lists Patrick Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga out, with Riley Moss questionable.

Fantasy move: The Denver defensive absences matter to Seattle’s passing environment, but they are not enough by themselves to force a fringe receiver into your lineup. Check final inactives before tonight’s kickoff.

HOUSTON TEXANS

Update: Montgomery’s groin injury leaves his Week 6 availability unresolved. Marks would lead the backfield if Montgomery sits.

Fantasy move: Prioritize Marks as a replacement-workload option, but keep the recommendation conditional. Houston’s Sunday London kickoff requires an earlier lineup decision.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Update: Strange’s recent production is supported by sustained targets and receptions rather than a single touchdown-driven result.

Fantasy move: Consider him if you need a tight-end replacement. His relative value improves in PPR. Set your decision before Sunday’s 9:30 AM ET kickoff.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

Update: Barkley and DeVonta Smith remain hamstring watch items. Barkley is hopeful for Week 6, but that is not final confirmation of availability.

Fantasy move: Maintain alternatives for both players. Pierce is a contingency if Barkley sits, not a priority over a healthier, established starter.

BALTIMORE RAVENS

Update: Lamar Jackson missed Wednesday practice, although a Week 6 return remains possible.

Fantasy move: Secure a quarterback alternative. Consider Tyler Huntley only if Jackson is ruled out and Huntley is confirmed as the replacement starter.

CHICAGO BEARS

Update: Caleb Williams was listed as a full participant on an estimated walkthrough report.

Fantasy move: This is a positive trend, but it does not confirm a full physical practice or final game availability.

ATLANTA FALCONS

Update: Michael Penix Jr. practiced fully and said he is good to go.

Fantasy move: His availability trend is encouraging. Match any quarterback replacement decision to confirmed starting status rather than an injury headline alone.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Update: TreVeyon Henderson has a reported high-ankle sprain and was limited Wednesday. A.J. Brown also practiced on a limited basis after his return window opened.

Fantasy move: Rhamondre Stevenson benefits if Henderson sits. Limited participation does not prove Henderson is ready for his normal workload. Hold Brown and monitor activation; do not assume an immediate full workload.

DALLAS COWBOYS

Update: CeeDee Lamb practiced fully Wednesday after dealing with a quad issue.

Fantasy move: Plan to start him if available, while preserving a Sunday-night alternative until his status is settled.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Update: Bernard’s opportunity increased with Pittman on injured reserve and Wilson unavailable for Week 6.

Fantasy move: A reasonable depth addition and conditional flex, especially in PPR. Separate the current injury-created opportunity from assumptions about his long-term role.

STRATEGY NOTES

STANDARD / NON-PPR

Favor confirmed carries, yardage potential and touchdown opportunity. Marks is the first running-back availability check in this report. Pierce remains a desperation fallback contingent on Barkley’s absence.

PPR

Strange and Bernard gain relative appeal because their recent opportunities are supported by targets and receptions.

LINEUP FLEXIBILITY

Keep Thursday starters in their specific position slots when feasible rather than FLEX, preserving later choices. Secure a quarterback backup for Jackson and an early Sunday plan for the Houston–Jacksonville game.
