THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FANTASY RECAP
Packers 27, Panthers 19

Green Bay’s offense delivered the biggest fantasy performances Thursday night, with Jordan Love throwing three touchdowns, Josh Jacobs scoring twice and Christian Watson topping 100 receiving yards. The Packers built a 27–10 lead before holding off Carolina’s late rally.

FANTASY WINNERS

Jordan Love, QB, Packers
Love completed 30 of 41 passes for 288 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. That passing line produced 21.52 fantasy points in leagues awarding four points per passing touchdown and deducting two for interceptions, before any rushing production.

Christian Watson, WR, Packers
Watson caught eight passes for 113 yards, delivering 19.3 PPR points without scoring a touchdown. He left for a hospital evaluation after suffering a chest injury but returned to the stadium and reentered the game. His performance was encouraging, although fantasy managers should monitor subsequent injury updates.

Josh Jacobs, RB, Packers
Jacobs carried 21 times for 39 yards and scored both a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown. The efficiency was disappointing, but the workload was encouraging: he played every snap on four of Green Bay’s first five possessions before the backfield rotated more with a comfortable lead. His usage and scoring opportunities were the strongest positives from this performance.

OTHER PACKERS TAKEAWAYS

Matthew Golden caught a 24-yard touchdown, but multiple drops left additional production on the field. The touchdown helped fantasy managers, though it did not erase an uneven receiving performance.

Tucker Kraft caught one of Love’s three touchdown passes, giving fantasy managers a valuable scoring contribution at tight end.

MarShawn Lloyd handled a separate early drive and received work as Green Bay rotated its backs. Jacobs’ larger role leaves Lloyd better suited to a bench stash than a dependable weekly starter.

PANTHERS FANTASY TAKEAWAYS

Bryce Young, QB
Young finished with 209 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. Green Bay sacked him six times and pressured him on 48.9% of his dropbacks, making it difficult for Carolina to sustain drives. The late comeback attempt did not erase a difficult night for the passing offense.

Jalen Coker, WR
Coker caught a late 26-yard touchdown during Carolina’s rally. The score helped anyone who started him, but one touchdown is not enough to establish a dependable weekly fantasy role.

Chuba Hubbard, RB
Carolina struggled to establish its running game, finishing with 82 team rushing yards. Hubbard was also stopped on a pivotal fourth-and-2. The 82-yard figure represents Carolina’s team total, not Hubbard’s individual production.

Carolina Tight Ends
Tommy Tremble played more, but Darren Waller still ran more routes, and Mitchell Evans remained involved. The split makes this a difficult group to trust in fantasy lineups; additional playing time for Tremble did not automatically translate into greater receiving opportunity.

DEFENSIVE TAKEAWAY

The Packers D/ST delivered six sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery while allowing 19 points. Carolina’s pass protection remains worth monitoring when evaluating opposing fantasy defenses after allowing five sacks in its previous game as well.

WHAT MATTERS GOING FORWARD

Jacobs’ increased workload was the clearest positive usage development. Watson delivered strong receiving production, with his health the key follow-up. Love rewarded managers with three passing touchdowns, while Carolina’s late scoring did little to resolve concerns about its protection and offensive consistency.
