MORNING NFL & FANTASY REPORT
Thursday, October 29, 2026

LEAGUE FOCUS
12-team Sleeper redraft
Standard/non-PPR scoring
1 QB | 6-point passing touchdowns | 2 FLEX spots

TODAY’S FOCUS

Handle Matthew Golden’s Thursday-night decision, check Jordan Mason’s availability, and follow Detroit’s Thursday practice updates before making injury-driven lineup changes. Golden is questionable; Aaron Jones, Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown missed Wednesday practice.

THURSDAY NIGHT: CAROLINA AT GREEN BAY

Kickoff: 8:15 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field.

MATTHEW GOLDEN — PACKERS
Update: Questionable with shoulder/foot injuries.
Fantasy move: Prepare an alternative and check pregame inactives. Being active would not necessarily guarantee a full workload.

LINEUP FLEXIBILITY
If starting a Thursday RB or WR, use a dedicated position slot rather than FLEX when possible. Preserve your FLEX spots for later-game decisions.

PRIORITY PLAYER UPDATES

LAMAR JACKSON — RAVENS
Update: Expected to return; full practice participation reported.
Fantasy move: Plan to start if cleared, but retain a backup until final status.

JAHMYR GIBBS — LIONS
Update: Missed Wednesday practice with a shoulder injury.
Fantasy move: Hold and monitor Thursday participation rather than assuming he will miss Sunday.

AMON-RA ST. BROWN — LIONS
Update: Missed Wednesday practice with an ankle injury; Detroit remains optimistic.
Fantasy move: Keep him in your provisional lineup with a fallback ready.

AARON JONES / JORDAN MASON — VIKINGS
Update: Jones missed Wednesday practice. Mason had 15 carries for 68 yards last week.
Fantasy move: Mason is the first availability check for immediate RB help, with additional upside if Jones sits.

BREECE HALL / BRAELON ALLEN — JETS
Update: Hall was limited Wednesday. Allen has handled substantial rushing work during his absence.
Fantasy move: Retain Allen and avoid assuming Hall immediately returns to a full workload.

RASHEE RICE — CHIEFS
Update: Returned to limited practice.
Fantasy move: Keep an alternative FLEX option available until his status and expected role become clearer.

JAYLEN WADDLE — BRONCOS
Update: Missed Wednesday practice after aggravating his chest injury.
Fantasy move: Prepare an alternative FLEX option. Avoid a panic drop.

WAIVER AND FREE-AGENT PRIORITIES

JORDAN MASON — RB
First availability check for immediate running-back help. His recent rushing volume provides a stronger foundation than injury speculation alone.

JONAH COLEMAN — RB
Upside addition. He leads Scott Engel’s Week 8 waiver-RB rankings, but anticipated opportunity is not a guaranteed lead role.

RACHAAD WHITE — RB
Practical depth or FLEX consideration after logging 12 touches in his last start. Do not project a workhorse role.

KC CONCEPCION — WR
Produced 129 receiving yards plus 23 rushing yards last week. His yardage production matters in standard scoring even without reception points.

OMAR COOPER JR. — WR
Has consecutive 100-yard games with a touchdown in each. Consider him for WR depth or a FLEX opening, without assuming the touchdown streak continues.

BRENTON STRANGE — TE
Has caught 19 of 23 targets over three games. His reception floor matters more in PPR, but the usage still warrants an availability check if you need a tight end.

QUARTERBACK STREAMING

JACOBY BRISSETT
Matchup option against Dallas.

KYLER MURRAY
Another matchup-based option against Detroit.

LEAGUE ADJUSTMENT
With six-point passing touchdowns, compare passing-touchdown potential rather than automatically choosing the more mobile quarterback.

MARKET AND SCORING CONTEXT

Dated snapshot: ESPN, October 28. These are not live prices.

CAROLINA AT GREEN BAY
Packers -3.5
Total: 47.5

BALTIMORE AT BUFFALO
Total: 54.5

ARIZONA AT DALLAS
Total: 54.5

PHILADELPHIA AT WASHINGTON
Total: 40.5, down from a reported opener of 46.5.

FANTASY TAKEAWAY
Baltimore–Buffalo and Arizona–Dallas offer stronger market-implied scoring environments. Philadelphia–Washington warrants more caution with marginal starters. Game totals provide context, not proof of an individual player’s workload or a betting edge.

WEEK 8 BYES

Houston Texans
New Orleans Saints
New York Giants
San Francisco 49ers

Remove players from these teams from active lineup slots.

TODAY’S CHECKLIST

  1. Remove all bye-week players from active slots.

  2. Check whether Mason, Coleman, White, Concepcion or Cooper remain available.

  3. Prepare a replacement for Golden before tonight’s kickoff.

  4. Keep Thursday starters out of FLEX where possible.

  5. Track Thursday practice changes for Gibbs, St. Brown, Jones, Rice and Waddle.

  6. Retain later-game alternatives for unresolved injury situations.

  7. Prioritize confirmed touches, yardage potential and touchdown opportunity over speculative replacements.
