MORNING FANTASY REPORT — MONDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2026

MORNING THEME: VOLUME

Prepare for the bye-week squeeze: Cincinnati, Miami, Detroit and Minnesota are off in Week 6. Today’s priority is securing replacement touches and targets—not chasing Sunday’s biggest touchdown totals. Woody Marks leads the conditional running-back waiver list after David Montgomery’s groin injury.

MONDAY NIGHT: BILLS AT RAMS

Kickoff: 8:15 PM EDT.

DJ MOORE, WR — BILLS
Moore is questionable with a shoulder injury. He is not yet confirmed active. Preserve an eligible, unlocked alternative and check the final inactive list before kickoff.

JOSH PALMER, WR — BILLS
Palmer is out with a shoulder injury. Do not leave him in a starting slot.

DAVANTE ADAMS, WR — RAMS
Adams has no game designation on the official injury report.

FANTASY MOVE
If waiting on Moore, make sure your alternative has not already played and fits the available lineup slot. Keon Coleman is a possible emergency option if available, but not a guaranteed replacement for Moore’s production.

PRIORITY PLAYER UPDATES

WOODY MARKS, RB — TEXANS
Update: Marks had 15 carries for 62 yards and four catches for 23 yards. David Montgomery exited with a groin injury.
Fantasy move: Leading conditional running-back claim. His starting appeal increases if Montgomery misses Week 6.
PPR note: The four receptions strengthen his case beyond rushing volume alone.sports.

DAMEON PIERCE, RB — EAGLES
Update: Saquon Barkley is dealing with a hamstring injury, Will Shipley injured his foot, and Tank Bigsby is on injured reserve.
Fantasy move: Speculative opportunity add. Reassess before starting if Barkley or Shipley returns. Do not assume Pierce has secured the lead role.

GERMIE BERNARD, WR — STEELERS
Update: Bernard caught six passes for 80 yards on nine targets. Michael Pittman Jr. is on injured reserve, and Roman Wilson injured his finger.
Fantasy move: Add for receiver depth. Continued opportunity depends partly on Wilson’s availability.
PPR note: Move Bernard higher on the priority list when receptions count.

BRENTON STRANGE, TE — JAGUARS
Update: Strange caught seven passes for 68 yards and has drawn eight targets in consecutive games.
Fantasy move: Useful tight-end streamer. His target volume is the attraction—not established touchdown production.
PPR note: His reception-driven profile is more valuable in PPR than standard scoring.

PAT FREIERMUTH, TE — STEELERS
Update: Freiermuth finished with five catches, 44 yards and two touchdowns.
Fantasy move: Tight-end streaming alternative. Do not project another two-touchdown game simply because he delivered one Sunday.

AARON RODGERS, QB — STEELERS
Update: Rodgers has posted 20-plus fantasy points and three passing touchdowns in three straight games.
Fantasy move: Single-QB bye-week streaming candidate rather than an automatic starter.

MARSHAWN LLOYD, RB — PACKERS
Update: Lloyd had 11 touches and scored twice against Chicago.
Fantasy move: Secondary running-back add. The modest touch count limits confidence in a repeat performance or a workhorse role.

SLEEPER MARKET WATCH

Reported Sleeper roster rates:

  • Woody Marks: 56%

  • MarShawn Lloyd: 55%

  • Brenton Strange: 47%

  • Aaron Rodgers: 35%

  • Pat Freiermuth: 18%

  • Dameon Pierce: 8%

  • Germie Bernard: 6%

These are platform-wide snapshots reported by Sports Illustrated, not your league’s available-player list. No fresh Sleeper ADP series was verified, so this report does not claim numerical ADP movement.

FRANCHISE-BY-FRANCHISE WATCH

HOUSTON TEXANS
Track David Montgomery’s groin status. Marks’ 19 touches give him the clearest immediate waiver case among the backs highlighted here.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Monitor Barkley and Shipley before elevating Pierce from speculative stash to starter. The potential opening depends on their availability.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Pittman’s injured-reserve placement and Wilson’s finger injury increase interest in Bernard and Freiermuth. Rodgers also enters the single-QB streaming discussion.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Strange’s consecutive eight-target games provide a useful tight-end streaming signal, especially in reception-based scoring.

GREEN BAY PACKERS
Lloyd scored twice, but 11 touches do not establish a workhorse role. Treat him as a secondary add rather than a proven weekly starter.

ATLANTA FALCONS
Michael Penix Jr. exited Sunday night with a ribs injury. No return timetable was verified in this briefing. Kyle Pitts caught five of six targets for 42 yards and a touchdown. Monitor quarterback news before changing next-week expectations for Atlanta’s pass catchers.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Monitor Deebo Samuel’s hamstring injury. Christian Kirk’s activation remains uncertain; do not treat him as a ready Week 6 replacement.

CLEVELAND BROWNS
Monitor Quinshon Judkins’ foot injury. This is an injury watch, not a confirmed Week 6 absence.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Monitor TreVeyon Henderson’s ankle injury before making backfield decisions.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Monitor T.J. Hockenson’s concussion. Minnesota’s Week 6 bye reduces the immediate lineup urgency but creates a tight-end replacement need.

WAIVER PRIORITIES

STANDARD / NON-PPR

  1. Woody Marks — first conditional running-back target if available.

  2. Dameon Pierce — speculative opportunity play pending Eagles injury updates.

  3. MarShawn Lloyd — secondary running-back option with less certain volume.

  4. Brenton Strange or Pat Freiermuth — prioritize either above surplus bench depth if you need a starting tight end.

  5. Germie Bernard — receiver depth with an injury-dependent opportunity.

These are editorial priorities based on reported touches, targets and injuries—not rest-of-season rankings.

PPR ADJUSTMENTS

Move Bernard higher when you need receiver help. Strange’s repeated target volume and Marks’ receiving involvement also improve their appeal in reception-based scoring.

TODAY’S STRATEGY

  • Protect tonight’s lineup: Moore remains questionable, and Palmer is out.

  • Build your Week 6 lineup before submitting claims. Cincinnati, Miami, Detroit and Minnesota are on bye.

  • Fill an actual starting-position need before adding another speculative bench player.

  • Recheck injury developments before making a premium FAAB bid on a backup whose opportunity is not yet established.

  • Check your league’s Sleeper waiver deadline and available-player pool. No numerical FAAB recommendation is included without your remaining budget and alternatives.
