MORNING FANTASY REPORT — TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2026

League focus: 12-team standard, non-PPR, 1-QB Sleeper

MORNING THEME

Week 1 opens tomorrow night with Patriots at Seahawks. This is the final major lineup-prep window: prioritize confirmed availability, rushing volume, goal-line roles, and touchdown access over preseason narratives.

In standard scoring, an injured player with a reduced red-zone role is a larger problem than a receiver projected to lose a few targets.

PRIORITY PLAYER UPDATES

Ashton Jeanty, RB — Raiders
Update: Jeanty is managing a low-ankle sprain and remains a Week 1 availability concern.
Fantasy move: Hold if rostered, but prepare a pivot. Do not treat him as an automatic start until his game status and workload are clearer.

Breece Hall, RB — Jets
Update: Hall has been managing a groin issue but is trending toward Week 1 availability.
Fantasy move: Start if active. His early-down and touchdown upside keeps him in the lineup in standard scoring.

TreVeyon Henderson, RB — Patriots
Update: Henderson was listed as a non-participant on the Week 1 injury report.
Fantasy move: Do not lock him into the Wednesday-night lineup until his status improves. Preserve lineup flexibility.

Zach Charbonnet, RB — Seahawks
Update: Charbonnet is on PUP and unavailable for the opening four games.
Fantasy move: Seattle’s available backs receive an immediate opportunity bump. Charbonnet can be released in shallow leagues if you do not have an IR spot.

Ja'Marr Chase, WR — Bengals
Update: Chase is listed day-to-day with a knee issue.
Fantasy move: Auto-start if active, but monitor practice participation and final injury status.

Mike Evans, WR — 49ers
Update: Evans is dealing with a groin issue but is expected to play Week 1.
Fantasy move: Start if active. A late downgrade would improve the outlook for the other San Francisco receiving options.

George Kittle, TE — 49ers
Update: Kittle is being monitored for an Achilles issue before Thursday’s matchup.
Fantasy move: Start if cleared, but keep a Sunday fallback option available.

MARKET SNAPSHOT

Seahawks vs. Patriots
Seattle is about a 3.5-point home favorite, with a total near 44.5 points.

Fantasy takeaway: This is a solid but not explosive projected scoring environment. Start core Seahawks players confidently, but do not force fringe Patriots pass catchers into standard-scoring lineups.

DRAFT-MARKET MOVERS

MOVE UP

  • Active Seattle running backs, with Charbonnet unavailable for Weeks 1-4

  • Healthy contingent-upside RBs with a clear path to 12-plus touches if the starter ahead of them misses time

  • Goal-line backs attached to offenses projected for strong team totals

MOVE DOWN

  • TreVeyon Henderson until practice participation improves

  • Jeanty until his ankle and expected workload are confirmed

  • Reception-dependent WR4 types with limited touchdown equity

HOLD

  • Breece Hall

  • Ja'Marr Chase

  • Mike Evans

  • George Kittle, provided you have a contingency plan

FRANCHISE WATCHLIST

SEAHAWKS
With Charbonnet sidelined, watch for reports on short-yardage, goal-line, and late-game backfield usage. That role could become an early-season fantasy advantage.

PATRIOTS
Henderson’s availability is the key Wednesday-night decision. Avoid using him in a flex position unless you have a later-game backup plan.

RAIDERS
Jeanty’s ankle is one of the biggest Week 1 workload questions. Confirm active status and look for any indication of a reduced snap count.

BENGALS
Chase’s final practice status is more useful than early-week “day-to-day” language. If he is active without a reported limitation, he belongs in lineups.

49ERS
Monitor Kittle and Evans closely before Thursday. Keep roster flexibility in case either player receives a late designation.

STRATEGY NOTE

For your 12-team standard, non-PPR league, chase carries, goal-line work, and implied team scoring.

Do not place a Wednesday- or Thursday-night player in your flex unless you are fully comfortable sacrificing Sunday flexibility. Use RB or WR slots first, then keep the flex open for late-week injury news and matchup pivots.
