week 4 MNF recap - falcons vs saints - 10/06/26

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FANTASY RECAP
October 5, 2026: Falcons 45, Saints 24

Atlanta’s backfield stole the show Monday night, as Bijan Robinson and Brian Robinson Jr. combined for five rushing touchdowns. New Orleans lost comfortably, but Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele still delivered productive fantasy performances.

ATLANTA FALCONS

Bijan Robinson: 19 carries, 145 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns.
Fantasy takeaway: Bijan delivered at least 26.5 PPR points from his rushing production alone. Brian Robinson’s touchdowns didn’t stop Bijan from producing a massive night. He remains a must-start.

Brian Robinson Jr.: 14 carries, 62 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns.
Fantasy takeaway: Robinson scored at least 24.2 points from rushing production alone. His 14 carries make him worth checking on waivers, but managers shouldn’t expect three touchdowns every week. Consider him valuable bench depth and insurance for Bijan rather than an automatic starter.

Drake London: 5 receptions, 96 receiving yards on 6 targets.
PPR points: 14.6.
Fantasy takeaway: London delivered without finding the end zone. His six targets accounted for 30% of Atlanta’s passing attempts, an encouraging sign in a game dominated by the running backs.

Kyle Pitts: 3 receptions, 47 receiving yards on 3 targets.
PPR points: 7.7.
Fantasy takeaway: A modest contribution, not a breakout. Three targets aren’t enough to establish reliable weekly fantasy value.

Jahan Dotson: 2 receptions, 54 receiving yards, 1 touchdown on 3 targets.
PPR points: 13.4.
Fantasy takeaway: The touchdown made his night, but the limited target volume makes him more of a watch-list option than a priority waiver pickup.

Michael Penix Jr.: 15-of-20 passing, 223 yards, 1 touchdown, 0 interceptions; minus-2 rushing yards.
Fantasy points: Approximately 12.7 with four-point passing touchdowns.
Fantasy takeaway: Efficient real-life performance, limited fantasy payoff. Atlanta’s five rushing touchdowns kept his scoring ceiling low.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Alvin Kamara: 7 carries, 23 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns; 5 receptions, 35 receiving yards.
PPR points: 22.8.
Fantasy takeaway: Two touchdowns and five catches saved an otherwise quiet rushing night. The result was strong, but seven carries and 23 rushing yards deserve attention when evaluating his workload.

Chris Olave: 8 receptions, 116 receiving yards on 12 targets.
PPR points: 19.6.
Fantasy takeaway: Olave delivered nearly 20 PPR points without a touchdown. His team-leading 12 targets represented 25% of New Orleans’ passing attempts and provided the Saints’ strongest receiving usage signal.

Devaughn Vele: 6 receptions, 54 receiving yards, 1 touchdown on 9 targets.
PPR points: 17.4.
Fantasy takeaway: Nine targets put Vele on the deeper-league waiver radar. His touchdown came with 1:13 remaining, so account for the late-game production before chasing this performance.

Juwan Johnson: 6 receptions, 59 receiving yards on 8 targets.
PPR points: 11.9.
Fantasy takeaway: A useful PPR performance for managers needing tight-end help. The eight targets were encouraging, although New Orleans’ 48 passing attempts boosted the available opportunities.

Kendre Miller: 6 carries, 9 rushing yards; 2 receptions, 10 receiving yards; 1 lost fumble.
PPR points: 1.9 with a standard two-point lost-fumble penalty.
Fantasy takeaway: Limited production and a costly turnover. This performance offered little reason to move him into starting lineups.

Tyler Shough: 30-of-48 passing, 286 yards, 1 touchdown, 0 interceptions; 5 rushing yards.
Fantasy points: Approximately 15.9 with four-point passing touchdowns.
Fantasy takeaway: The heavy passing volume helped his receivers more than it helped his own fantasy total.

FANTASY MOVES

  • Keep Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Chris Olave in starting lineups.

  • Check waivers for Brian Robinson Jr., especially if you roster Bijan.

  • Consider Juwan Johnson if you need a tight end.

  • Add Devaughn Vele to deeper-league watch lists.

  • Don’t chase Jahan Dotson’s touchdown without more consistent targets.

  • Don’t treat Kyle Pitts’ three-catch performance as a confirmed breakout.
