Tom Buries Scott Under a Mountain of Points
Final score: Tom 155.88, Scott 80.02 — a 75.86-point blowout, Tom's largest margin of the season.
Player-by-Player Breakdown
QB: C.J. Stroud (26.08) def. Josh Allen (19.52). Tom's cheaper, matchup-driven QB pick beat Scott's premium name outright.
RB1: Aaron Jones Sr. (16.80) def. Braelon Allen (8.70). Another clean win, nearly doubling Scott's output at the position.
RB2: Jonathan Love (6.50) tied Jonathan Love (6.50). Both managers rostered the same back. A quiet game for both, canceling out exactly.
WR1: Nico Collins (33.80) def. Malik Washington (12.00). The single biggest point swing of the day — a 21.80-point gap from one roster spot.
WR2: Parker Washington (2.00) tied Parker Washington (2.00). Same player, same quiet afternoon, same wash.
WR3: Tee Higgins (29.70) def. Ja'Marr Chase (5.70). The second-biggest gap of the week. Scott's $8,100 WR1 investment returned 5.70 points. That's not a bad beat, that's a structural failure.
TE: Brenton Strange (16.50) lost to Brock Bowers (20.60). And here's the twist — Brock Bowers, the tight end handed to Scott as a punishment pick after last week's loss, was the single best player on either roster at his position. The punishment pick worked exactly as designed for Scott, just not enough to matter against everything else that went wrong around it.
FLEX: Michael Wilson (16.50) def. Jaylen Watkins (0.00). A clean shutout in the flex spot.
DST: Vikings (8.00) def. Dolphins (5.00). Tom's streaming pick edges out Scott's, closing out a comprehensive week.
The Wrap-Up
Two exact ties, one legitimate Scott win at tight end (ironically on a player Tom picked for him out of spite), and six outright Tom victories — three of them by 20-plus points. Collins and Higgins alone outscored Scott's entire WR room by themselves. Even the punishment pick couldn't save this one. Scott's going to need a much better explanation for the household budget committee after this showing.
