BUCS–COWBOYS FANTASY RECAP: IRVING AND PICKENS DELIVER, LAMB DISAPPOINTS

Tampa Bay defeated Dallas 24–16 on Thursday Night Football. Bucky Irving and George Pickens delivered the biggest fantasy performances, while CeeDee Lamb’s quiet night and quadriceps injury left fantasy managers with concerns. All fantasy totals below use full-PPR scoring unless noted.

TOP FANTASY PERFORMERS

Bucky Irving — 31.5 PPR points
Irving carried 21 times for 165 yards and a touchdown, adding two receptions for 10 yards and another score. His 175 total yards and two touchdowns made him the night’s top fantasy performer. A 72-yard run helped set up Tampa Bay’s go-ahead score.

George Pickens — 28.0 PPR points
Pickens caught nine of 13 targets for 130 yards and a touchdown. His fourth-quarter score helped salvage Dallas’ night, and his double-digit target total was an encouraging sign for fantasy managers. Lamb’s injury is an important variable when evaluating Pickens’ workload going forward.

Emeka Egbuka — 17.2 PPR points
Egbuka scored on a 14-yard jet sweep and finished as the game’s third-highest PPR scorer. The rushing touchdown boosted his fantasy output on a night when Tampa Bay threw for just 189 yards.

Javonte Williams — 14.2 PPR points
Williams scored Dallas’ opening touchdown on a one-yard run. That touchdown helped him deliver a useful fantasy performance despite the Cowboys’ loss.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT

CeeDee Lamb — 2.9 PPR points
Lamb caught just two of five targets for nine yards before leaving with a quadriceps injury. His health is the biggest fantasy storyline coming out of this game. The recap did not establish the injury’s severity or his availability for Dallas’ next game.

QUARTERBACK RECAP

Dak Prescott
Prescott completed 24 of 42 passes for 316 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The passing yardage helped, but the interceptions limited his fantasy production. His late touchdown to Pickens rescued an otherwise frustrating outing.

Jalon Daniels — 13.86 fantasy points
Starting in place of Baker Mayfield, Daniels completed 19 of 25 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown, adding 23 rushing yards. He played efficiently, but Tampa Bay’s run-heavy success kept his fantasy ceiling modest. Mayfield is expected to miss at least one more game with a throwing-thumb injury, keeping Daniels relevant primarily in superflex leagues.

UNDER-THE-RADAR PERFORMANCE

Ryan Flournoy — 12.0 PPR points
Flournoy caught three of four targets for 90 yards. His production deserves attention if Lamb misses time, but the four-target workload does not yet establish a reliable weekly fantasy role.

FANTASY TAKEAWAYS

  • Irving’s 23 touches, explosive running and two touchdowns were the strongest fantasy developments of the night.

  • Pickens paired strong target volume with a big receiving performance, rather than relying on one isolated play.

  • Lamb’s injury status is the most important update to monitor before Dallas’ next game.

  • Egbuka delivered, but his rushing touchdown boosted his total in a low-volume passing attack.

  • Flournoy is a name to monitor, particularly if Lamb’s injury opens additional receiving opportunities.

GAME FLOW

Tampa Bay rushed for 241 yards and scored 17 unanswered points in the third quarter. That favored Irving while limiting the Bucs’ passing-game opportunities. Dallas committed three turnovers, helping Tampa Bay secure its first victory of the season.
