thursday night recap - 09/25/26

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FANTASY RECAP
Falcons 35, Packers 14

FANTASY MVPs

Bijan Robinson, Falcons
29 carries, 194 rushing yards, 2 TD
2 receptions, 19 receiving yards
35.3 PPR points

Bijan delivered the biggest fantasy performance of the night with 213 total yards and two touchdowns. The 29 carries are the headline: Atlanta treated him as a true workhorse, and he should remain an elite weekly RB1.

Drake London, Falcons
9 receptions, 194 receiving yards
28.4 PPR points

London erupted on 10 targets and looked like Michael Penix Jr.’s clear No. 1 option. This was a major statement game after a slow first two weeks. He is back in must-start WR1 territory.

Christian Watson, Packers
7 receptions, 96 receiving yards, TD
22.6 PPR points

Watson saw 10 targets and found the end zone. Green Bay’s offense struggled overall, but Watson’s target volume and big-play role keep him firmly in the WR2 conversation with weekly upside.

Matthew Golden, Packers
5 receptions, 100 receiving yards, TD
21.0 PPR points

Golden led Green Bay with 12 targets and posted his best fantasy game of the season. The catch rate was not ideal, but the volume is extremely encouraging. He is a strong upside flex and could become a weekly starter if the targets continue.

Jordan Love, Packers
28/53 passing, 312 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Approx. 19.5 fantasy points

Love produced a usable fantasy score, largely because Green Bay had to throw while trailing. The 53 attempts are a positive for his receivers, but the Packers’ inability to run the ball and poor overall efficiency make Love more of a matchup-based QB1/QB2 than a locked-in weekly starter.

Michael Penix Jr., Falcons
18/25 passing, 256 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Approx. 15.2 fantasy points

Penix was solid in his return and made a major difference for Atlanta’s offense. He is not yet an automatic fantasy starter, but his presence significantly raises the ceilings of Bijan Robinson and Drake London.

OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Brian Robinson Jr., Falcons
10 carries, 50 rushing yards, TD
Approx. 11.0 PPR points

Robinson scored and gave managers a usable flex result, but Bijan’s 29 carries confirmed that this remains Bijan’s backfield. Brian Robinson is a touchdown-dependent bench option or desperation flex.

Kyle Pitts, Falcons
1 reception, 5 receiving yards
1.5 PPR points

Pitts was one of the biggest disappointments of the night. He received only two targets, while Austin Hooper caught a touchdown. Pitts still has athletic upside, but his usage remains too inconsistent to trust without a better target floor.

Tucker Kraft, Packers
4 receptions, 26 receiving yards
6.6 PPR points

Kraft had eight targets, which is encouraging, but did little with them. He remains a fringe TE1/streaming option because the target opportunity is there, though this game was not a breakout.

MarShawn Lloyd, Packers
4 carries, 11 rushing yards

Kaleb Johnson, Packers
4 carries, 6 rushing yards

Green Bay’s running game was a disaster, totaling only 17 yards on nine carries. This is a backfield to avoid until one runner takes control and the offensive line/run blocking improves.

WEEK 3 FANTASY STOCK UP

Bijan Robinson
Drake London
Christian Watson
Matthew Golden
Michael Penix Jr.

WEEK 3 FANTASY STOCK DOWN

Kyle Pitts
Packers RB committee
Jordan Love’s weekly floor
Tucker Kraft’s consistency

BOTTOM LINE

Atlanta’s offense looked dramatically better with Michael Penix Jr. back under center. Bijan Robinson is an elite RB1, Drake London is a must-start WR1, and Penix is worth adding in deeper leagues or Superflex formats.

For Green Bay, the passing game produced fantasy value because of massive volume, especially for Christian Watson and Matthew Golden. However, the Packers’ running game is unplayable right now, and Jordan Love’s final stat line was better than the offense looked for most of the night.
