MORNING FANTASY REPORT — SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2026
Week 5 | 6:49 AM EDT
League focus: 12-team Sleeper, single QB, standard/non-PPR
PPR differences noted where relevant.
News reflects Friday reporting. Saturday updates and Sunday inactive lists may change conditional recommendations.
MORNING THEME: AVAILABILITY
Friday settled three major decisions: Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley and Breece Hall are out. Your next priority is securing alternatives for questionable stars, including Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson and Ashton Jeanty. Philadelphia plays Jacksonville in London at 9:30 AM EDT Sunday, so Eagles lineup decisions come earlier than the usual afternoon.
PRIORITY PLAYER UPDATES
LAMAR JACKSON, QB — RAVENS
Update: Ruled out with an ankle injury. Tyler Huntley starts.
Fantasy move: Replace Jackson now. Huntley is an emergency option, not an automatic starter in a single-QB league.
SAQUON BARKLEY / DeVONTA SMITH — EAGLES
Update: Both ruled out with hamstring injuries.
Fantasy move: Bench both. Will Shipley becomes a volume-based replacement option, while Dallas Goedert gains receiving appeal.
BREECE HALL, RB — JETS
Update: Ruled out with a quadriceps injury.
Fantasy move: Braelon Allen moves into RB2 consideration based on the expected workload.
JA’MARR CHASE, WR — BENGALS
Update: Questionable. Practiced fully Friday but remains in concussion protocol.
Fantasy move: Start if cleared, but keep a healthy receiver alternative. Full practice is not the same as clearance.
TEE HIGGINS, WR — BENGALS
Update: Questionable after a full practice Friday.
Fantasy move: Encouraging progress, but wait for confirmed availability before locking him in.
JUSTIN JEFFERSON / JORDAN ADDISON — VIKINGS
Update: Both questionable. Jefferson has an ankle injury; Addison has a hamstring injury.
Fantasy move: Keep same-window replacements available. Jefferson’s intention to play does not settle his status.
ASHTON JEANTY, RB — RAIDERS
Update: Questionable with ankle/foot injuries. Did not practice Friday.
Fantasy move: Secure Mike Washington if available. Washington becomes a starting candidate if Jeanty sits—not a blind start alongside an active Jeanty.
JAYDEN DANIELS, QB — COMMANDERS
Update: Confirmed to start against the Giants.
Fantasy move: Back in starting consideration, although Washington’s receiving injuries remain a concern.
MALIK NABERS / MIKE EVANS — GIANTS / 49ERS
Update: Neither has a game-status designation.
Fantasy move: Return both to normal lineup consideration rather than treating them as unresolved injury decisions.
ZAY FLOWERS, WR — RAVENS
Update: Questionable with a foot injury. Baltimore plays Sunday night.
Fantasy move: Have a late-game receiver pivot. If you cannot cover an absence, consider a healthy earlier option.
CEEDEE LAMB, WR — COWBOYS
Update: Thursday’s injury was reported as a quad bruise. He is expected to play Week 6.
Fantasy move: Hold. Do not panic-trade him, but recheck next week’s practice reports.
WAIVER AND VALUE MOVERS
These are short-term role changes, not measured draft-market or ADP movement.
BRAELON ALLEN
Hall’s absence creates an immediate workload opportunity. Allen is a priority replacement-back target.
D’ANDRE SWIFT
Kyle Monangai is out, and Swift has no injury designation. The Athletic places Swift in RB1 territory this week.
EMANUEL WILSON
Zach Charbonnet is out, and Jadarian Price is on injured reserve. Wilson gains RB2 appeal from the available workload.
WILL SHIPLEY
Barkley is out, and Tank Bigsby is on injured reserve. Shipley’s opportunity improves, but Philadelphia’s struggling offense limits the ceiling.
MIKE WASHINGTON
A conditional add while Jeanty’s status remains unresolved. Start consideration depends on Jeanty sitting.
KENDRE MILLER
Gains a larger role if Alvin Kamara sits, but the Vikings matchup keeps expectations modest.
FRANCHISE-BY-FRANCHISE WATCH
PHILADELPHIA
Barkley, Smith and Marquise Brown are out. Goedert is available. Shipley offers necessity-driven volume, while Goedert receives a stronger PPR consideration. Do not assume replacement receivers automatically inherit productive targets.
BALTIMORE
Jackson is out, and Flowers is questionable. Huntley starts. Resolve the quarterback replacement now, then keep a Sunday-night alternative available if you plan to wait on Flowers.
CHICAGO
Monangai is out. Caleb Williams is officially questionable after returning to limited practice Friday, while Yahoo reports that Ben Johnson named Tyson Bagent the starter earlier in the week. Avoid Williams in a single-QB lineup unless Chicago explicitly confirms otherwise. The reporting does not support calling him definitively ruled out.
CINCINNATI / MINNESOTA
Chase and Higgins practiced fully Friday but remain questionable. Jefferson and Addison are also questionable. Maintain healthy receiver alternatives until availability is confirmed.
LAS VEGAS / NEW ENGLAND
Jeanty and Rhamondre Stevenson are questionable. Washington benefits if Jeanty sits; TreVeyon Henderson gains upside if Stevenson is inactive. These are conditional opportunities, not guaranteed workload upgrades.
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
Quentin Johnston and Joe Alt are out, Ladd McConkey is questionable, and Rashawn Slater is on injured reserve. Tre Harris has conditional flex appeal if McConkey misses, but the depleted offense adds risk.
NEW ORLEANS / PITTSBURGH / SEATTLE
Kamara and Rico Dowdle are questionable. Charbonnet is out. Miller is a conditional replacement, Jaylen Warren remains usable regardless of Dowdle’s status, and Wilson gains immediate volume appeal.
WASHINGTON
Daniels returns, but Stefon Diggs is out and Terry McLaurin is questionable. Daniels’ availability does not eliminate the concerns surrounding his receiving group.
BUFFALO
DJ Moore’s shoulder issue needs monitoring before Monday night. Keon Coleman gains appeal if Moore sits. Keep a Monday receiver alternative if you choose to wait on Moore.
STANDARD VS. PPR STRATEGY
STANDARD / NON-PPR
For fringe decisions, favor rushing workload and touchdown opportunity. Allen, Swift and Wilson deserve attention because injuries have opened meaningful backfield roles.
PPR
Receiving opportunity makes Goedert more attractive. Flowers remains viable if active despite the quarterback change; The Athletic still views him as a high-end WR2 with Huntley.
BOTH FORMATS
Do not let a questionable star leave you without a replacement. Flowers’ Sunday-night kickoff and Moore’s Monday game require more planning than an early Sunday decision.
WEEKEND ACTION CHECKLIST
Replace Jackson, Barkley and Hall now. All three are ruled out.
Check Saturday developments for Chase’s concussion clearance and the availability of Higgins, Jefferson and Jeanty.
Resolve Eagles lineup decisions before Sunday’s 9:30 AM EDT London kickoff.
Remove Chiefs and Panthers players from starting slots. Both teams are on bye.
Keep a late-game pivot for Flowers and a Monday alternative if waiting on Moore.
