MORNING FANTASY FOOTBALL REPORT — MONDAY, SEPT. 21, 2026

WEEK 2 SNAPSHOT

  • Chiefs 33, Colts 30 (OT): Daniel Jones went 22-of-31 for 210 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, plus 10 rushing yards.

  • Saints 24, Ravens 17: New Orleans rallied from a 14–3 deficit for its first win.

  • Panthers 34, Falcons 3: Bryce Young’s strong start continued. Atlanta now has a short week before Thursday night.

  • Early Week 3 marquee line: Eagles at Bears. Philadelphia is favored by roughly 3.5–4 points, with a total near 43.5.

TOP WEEK 3 WAIVER TARGETS

  1. JONAH COLEMAN — RB, BRONCOS
Priority: No. 1 overall RB add
Why: Scored in Week 2 and split 10 carries with J.K. Dobbins while RJ Harvey was out. Denver’s RB injuries could give him a larger role.
    Suggested FAAB: 25–40%+

  2. DENZEL BOSTON — WR, BROWNS
    Priority: Top WR add
Why: Finished Week 2 with 5 catches, 95 yards, 1 TD, and 20.5 fantasy points. He is emerging as Cleveland’s most valuable fantasy WR.
    Suggested FAAB: 12–17%+

  3. TYLER SHOUGH — QB, SAINTS
Priority: Streaming QB / injury replacement
Why: He has opened the season as the NFL passing-yardage leader through two games and is still widely available in many Sleeper leagues.
    Suggested FAAB: 5–10%

  4. RASHOD BATEMAN — WR
    Priority: Conditional add
Why: His upside rises significantly if Zay Flowers’ hamstring limits him or keeps him out.
    Suggested FAAB: 8–12%

  5. TANK BIGSBY — RB, EAGLES
    Priority: High-value handcuff
Why: Handled 13 carries, scored a rushing TD, and caught two passes in Week 2. He looks like the backup to roster in Philadelphia.
    Suggested FAAB: 5–8%

  6. EMANUEL WILSON / KALEB JOHNSON — RB
    Priority: Deep-league speculative adds
Why: Both could benefit from teammate absences or unclear backfield workloads.
    Suggested FAAB: 3–5%

WAIVER STRATEGY

  • Need an RB starter? Spend aggressively on Jonah Coleman.

  • Need WR upside? Make Denzel Boston your priority.

  • Need a QB because of injury, bye-week planning, or poor play? Tyler Shough is the best early streaming target.

  • Have a deep bench? Add Tank Bigsby before his price climbs.

  • Do not overpay for a backup player unless he has a clear path to 12+ touches or 6+ targets.

INJURY WATCH

  • Caleb Williams — Hamstring issue. Monitor practice reports closely; have a QB contingency ready.

  • Jayden Daniels — Listed among players creating a potential early Week 3 waiver need. Monitor for practice participation and official designation.

  • Jayden Reed — Also among notable names whose status could create replacement demand on waivers.

  • Zay Flowers — Hamstring. Returned to limited practice late last week. Start if active, but roster a fallback option.

  • Demarcus Robinson — Right high-ankle sprain. Could miss extended time.

  • Alec Pierce — Heel X-rays were negative. Encouraging, but confirm practice status before starting.

  • RJ Harvey — His absence helped create Jonah Coleman’s Week 2 workload. Check Denver’s injury report before setting waiver priority.

HOLD / BENCH / CUT

HOLD

  • Bijan Robinson — Do not panic after a slow two-game start. His early results are disappointing, but his talent and season-long workload upside still justify holding.

BENCH IF UNCERTAIN

  • Zay Flowers — Bench only if inactive or clearly limited. If active, he remains playable, but make sure you have a late-game replacement available.

CONSIDER CUTTING IN SHALLOW LEAGUES

  • Jakobi Meyers — Had one target in Week 2 and is showing concerning early role and efficiency signals relative to Jacksonville teammates.

WEEK 3 BETTING NOTE

  • Minnesota has been one of the largest early movers, going from approximately +1.5 to -2.5 against Tampa Bay.

  • Eagles at Bears opened around Philadelphia -3.5 to -4 with a 43.5 total.

  • Atlanta plays Thursday at Green Bay after being dominated 34–3 by Carolina. Be cautious with Falcons players until injury reports and usage information are clearer.

TODAY’S TO-DO LIST

  1. Check your league’s waiver deadline and current free-agent availability.

  2. Prioritize Jonah Coleman if you need RB help.

  3. Prioritize Denzel Boston if your WR room needs upside.

  4. Add Tank Bigsby as a bench stash if available.

  5. Monitor Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Jayden Reed, Zay Flowers, and RJ Harvey throughout practice week.

  6. Do not drop high-end players such as Bijan Robinson because of two disappointing games.

  7. Review Thursday-night Falcons and Packers injury news before making lineup commitments.
