FANTASY FOOTBALL RECAP: BEARS 27, EAGLES 7

Chicago dominated Philadelphia on Monday night, winning 27–7 behind a strong fill-in performance from Case Keenum and a suffocating defensive effort. The Bears controlled possession, created turnovers, and shut out the Eagles in the second half.

FANTASY STANDOUTS

Case Keenum, QB, Bears
24/34 passing, 247 yards, 2 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD

Keenum delivered a surprise three-touchdown fantasy night while replacing the injured Caleb Williams. He protected the football, spread the ball around, and handled pressure well. He is worth a short-term waiver add only if Williams is expected to miss additional time; otherwise, Keenum is a matchup-based streamer rather than a locked-in starter.

D’Andre Swift, RB, Bears
20 carries, 84 rushing yards

Swift did not score, but the 20-carry workload was highly encouraging. Chicago played from ahead and relied on Swift to close the game, giving him a stable RB2 floor when the Bears are competitive. The workload—not the final yardage total—is the biggest takeaway.

Kalif Raymond, WR, Bears
6 receptions, 90 yards, 1 TD

Raymond led Chicago’s receivers and broke the game open with a 41-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He is a speculative waiver add in deeper leagues, especially if Chicago continues using a spread-out passing attack. Do not automatically insert him into standard-league lineups until the target volume proves sustainable.

Luther Burden III, WR, Bears
8-yard receiving TD

Burden scored early on a shovel pass, but the touchdown was more valuable than the underlying volume. He remains a bench stash or deeper-league pickup rather than a reliable weekly starter.

DeVonta Smith, WR, Eagles
6 receptions on 8 targets, 65 yards

Smith was Philadelphia’s most useful fantasy player. His eight targets and six catches provided a respectable PPR outcome despite the Eagles scoring only seven points and producing just 248 total yards. Continue starting Smith with confidence, especially in PPR formats.

Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles
15 carries, 82 rushing yards

Barkley’s rushing output was solid, but the lack of a touchdown or meaningful receiving production limited his fantasy day. Philadelphia’s poor time of possession and inability to move the ball after halftime hurt his ceiling. He remains an every-week fantasy starter.

Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles
16/25 passing, 153 yards, 1 INT, 1 rushing TD

Hurts had a disappointing passing night, but his rushing touchdown helped salvage the fantasy result. Chicago limited the Eagles to 62 second-half yards, forced three turnovers, and kept the offense out of rhythm. This is a bounce-back spot rather than a reason to panic, though the Eagles’ passing game needs to improve.

WAIVER-WIRE PRIORITY

  1. Kalif Raymond — Best speculative receiver addition after leading the Bears with six catches, 90 yards, and a touchdown.

  2. Case Keenum — Only add if Caleb Williams is expected to miss Week 4; useful as a short-term QB streamer.

  3. Luther Burden III — Deep-league stash with touchdown upside, but not enough demonstrated weekly usage yet.

BOTTOM LINE

Swift’s 20-touch workload was the most encouraging long-term Bears fantasy takeaway. Raymond was the breakout player, but managers should be cautious before trusting him as a weekly starter. For Philadelphia, Smith’s target volume remains useful, Barkley stays locked into lineups, and Hurts should rebound—but the Eagles need a sharper offensive performance next week.
